Another Baby Thank You card

Here is another thank you card I came up with today. I am making my brother thank you cards after their son was born in March. I hope he's still needing the cards, but it was fun to make anyway.

Winter Accordian

This was so much fun to make. It's hard to see the dimensions of it being a 2 dimensional photo but I will try to point a few of them out. On the first panel, the snowballs are all attached with Stampin Dimensionals which is a 3D type of adhesive making the snowballs 'pop' off the card stock a little. The snow at the bottom of the snow men's feet is Liquid Applique which has been heated with a heat gun to 'fluff it up'. The snowman on the 3rd panel is behind a transparent window that was made with clear packing tape and then the sticky side covered with Stampin' Up's Dazzling Diamond glitter. The frame is also popped up with the Stampin Dimensionals. The trees on the last panel were stamped on Designer Series Paper 'Wintergreen' pack and then cut out with a craft knife and adhered to the white background. I had seen the accordion card made on Splitcoaststampers.com but with a different stamp set. So I thought I would create my own take on this idea. Stamp set is 'It's snow time'. Card stock is Sage Shadow, Always Artichoke, Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery. Maybe I will have to hold a class on this one. :)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

I know there are some people that will be just appalled that I am talking about Christmas when it's only August but I just couldn't wait to break out the Christmas stamps that I had just received from Stampin' Up. Thinking about the holidays always puts me in a good mood anyway. One thing I love about living in the States is that I can make all these cute snowmen cards which of course I never got the opportunity to living in Australia. That said, I have my mum sending me some stamps she purchased in Australia from a Stampin' Up Demonstrator there so I can at least make some Aussie Christmas cards too! So here is what I came up with...

The first one here is a shaker card. There are actually clear micro beads in there with the snowman. The snowman is from the set 'It's snow time'. Card stock colours are Sage Shadow and Always Artichoke and the patterned paper is from the Designer Series Paper called 'Wintergreen'.

This cute reindeer card was inspired by a card I saw on SplitcoastStampers.com. I don't remember the creators name but I sure to appreciate the creative spark I got from it. Stamp set - Moose You. Card stock - Olive Green and Real Red. Designer Series Paper - Dashing. Ribbon - Real red. The reindeer are joined together with natural thread. All products are from Stampin' Up!

Stamp Set 'Big on Christmas'. The snowman's head is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I used a versamarker to colour in just the face and then embossed the glittery powder of 'iridescent ice' over it.
This last card is a total CASE of one I saw on Splitcoast Stampers, but I think it is so cool I just had to share it. All I know is their user name which is 'Mytime'. The gold looks so much better and more brilliant in real life!

And the CAT jumped over the MOON!

This is the newest card I have made using the 'Here Kitty, Kitty' stamp set from Stampin' Up! I am having so much fun with this set. I covered the moon with versamark ink and then embossed Glassy Glaze over to make it nice and shiny. There are Stampin Dimensionals under the moon and the cat. It's hard to see but I also sponged around the blue circle as well as the moon. To get the writing right where I wanted it I used a Stampamajig.

The Recipe
Stamp Sets - Here Kitty Kitty, Eat Cake and So Many Sayings (Hostess Set)
Paper - Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, So Saffron and Close to Cocoa
Ink - Whisper White, Close to Cocoa, Blue Bayou for sponging around the blue circle and So Saffron for sponging around the Moon.
Extras - Linen Thread, Glassy Glaze Embossing Powder, Stampin Dimensionals
Tools - Coluzzle, Circle Punch, Sponge, Stampamajig
